Hi, I’m E.K.(Elizabeth) Pomfret and I’m a self-published indie author.

From a young age, I’ve found immense joy in books. In 2021 I decided to try my hand at creating a story that spoke to me and before I knew it, it grew into a full, beautiful, life-changing experience, The Caelests Sun Series.

Sight of Solace

In a world where fated mates are bound by identical sets of eyes, Solace stumbles into a forbidden relationship with a tall honey-eyed male, who happens to be one of her closest friends. Advancing on to a new semester of classes in the capital, a classmate takes a special interest in her. This relationship forces her not only to uncover truths about her true identity but also to face the consequences of her mother's actions hidden by years of secrets.

Her eyes, shrouded in mystery, hold the key to her destiny.

Betrayed by those closest to her. Solace begins to wonder if there’s anyone in her life she can trust. Her story unfolds against the backdrop of a world on the brink of change with her choices potentially shaping the fate of both her personal life and those around her.

As the first book in a world still being constructed Sight of Solace gives you a glimpse of the magic, relationships, and character development still to come.

"Color me impressed! E.K. Pomfret’s debut novel is a fast-burn (and a little slow burn 🌶️), multi-POV, world-building fantasy with themes of fated mates and enemies-to-lovers! I loved the development/self-discovery of Solace into a well-rounded FMC (caveat I’m not a huge fan superhero-like strong FMCs- honestly, who can be badass all the time??? Don’t we want to be a princess sometimes?!) BUT, Pomfret balances Solace’s strengths and weaknesses extremely well with the MMC and her ride-or-die friends.

"I am OBSESSED with Solace’s story. A few of my favorite things: 1) mates having the same set of eyes is such a freaking cool concept to me! It’s super original compared to your standard Romantasy fated mate story. 2) dual POV from mother/daughter. Dual POV is my favorite, but I feel like I’m used to seeing it as FMC/MMC, so this was just so cool to read. Each POV had major plot points that affected both characters and their stories. 3) the twists and turns! There was just enough to keep me on my toes without making it difficult or confusing."

It has all of the things I need in a book. Drama. Suspense. Multiple POV. Spice. This book had it all and completely consumed me. Cannot wait for the 2nd book!

This has been one of my favorite fantasy books I’ve read since ACOTAR. It scratches the same itch when you want a well built world, but not too complex you’re forgetting all the little details and you’re just getting info dumped on. It’s the perfect blend of romance that’s definitely not lacking on the spice, and also fantasy that’s well thought out and actually has a plot.
